Summer Doan

Summer Doan is a Vietnamese director, writer, and producer, currently based in London.

With over 4 years of experience, her diverse work spans documentaries, commercials, and short films, focussing on human identity, environment, cultural adaptation, and social impact. Known for her adeptness in managing multi-country projects, she has worked with VICE, Channel News Asia, and Our Grandfather Story's USAID paid partnership.

Summer has collaborated with global agencies to work on branded documentaries and commercials for Google, Amazon, and Unilever. Additionally, she has directed significant social impact projects for World Wildlife Fund Vietnam, Save the Children, and Our Better World. At RICE Channel TV, she directed and produced original series. Her latest documentary series, "Vietnamese Overseas," explores the experiences of Vietnamese adapting to new cultures, capturing multi-layered urban chronicles.
