FILM SYNOPSIS

After the age of 60, Rita found a new passion: writing. The activity, which began as a therapy for grief, has become an incredible tool for self-discovery. The short documentary film "Fidèle" portrays the story of Rita Aráujo, a 92-year-old writer from Goiás, raising issues such as aging, prejudice and sexuality.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY

Yorrana Maia graduated in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás in 2022. After working in the area of her graduation, Yorrana began to work with cinema. From 2024, she wrote the screenplay and directed her first film, the short documentary "Fidèle". In the same year, she also worked on the production of a documentary feature film about eletrofunk in Goiás, still in production.

Yorrana Maia currently works at Caolha Animation Films, an independent production company for animated films. In the company, she participated in the script of a short film and wrote the script for a web series. Currently, she acts as production coordinator of the feature film "Malu Tatu", and develops the script for the next feature film "The Little World of Flora".
