FILM SYNOPSIS

Hot Mess offers an insight into ADHD in a compact and creative way, highlighting the damage and anxiety that can be caused by a well-meaning, but ultimately toxic, parent.

DIRECTOR SYNOPSIS

Tortor began following their creative dreams from a very early age... but as the years went by they realised something about them was different, well a few things to be honest.

1) Their brain operates a little differently to others - dyslexia and ADHD make functioning "normally" a challenge.

2) They don't fit the "normal" gender moulds, feeling more at home with neutral terminology and using pronouns they/them to describe their balance of both genders.

3) They love who they love for who they are, not for their gender.

In terms of animation they have a BA (Hons) degree from the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham (2012) and have just graduated from the In Studio Stop Motion course at the Aardman Academy (2024) with their debut character film, Hot Mess.
