Laura Coover

Laura Coover began her career as an actor, building a body of work in Chicago and Los Angeles. Highlights include performances at the Goodman Theatre and television appearances in Mike & Molly and Marvel’s Agent Carter. She has acted in dozens of independent films and has since expanded her work to include producing, writing, and directing.
She produced and starred in the short film As Easy as Closing Your Eyes, which won 141 awards across more than 200 film festivals, including Best Short Feature Film and the Golden Feather Award for excellence in film at the Starling Film Festival. Coover is a Stowe Story Labs Producers Lab alum and a finalist in the Dallas International Film Festival Screenplay Competition for her feature script Luke.
She currently works at Orbital Studios, where she most recently produced and directed a PSA for the SoCal Fire Fund. The campaign is currently airing nationally in the US, backed by over $3 million in donated ad placements. She is also the co-founder of Dynamo Studio, a production company focused on telling women’s stories.
